Mauricio De Mendieta
In Latin America, the music, food, and people are flavorful and colorful. Family and tradition are very important. However, marketing typically directed to the culture has not fully reflected these values and traditions. In fact, it has been tropicalized and it is therefore misunderstood. These were the first words Mauricio de Mendieta imparted to the Marketing Latino team when he founded the company in 2003. He added that the company was born of the need to communicate with the same language and the same feeling to the public, nuestra gente.
In addition to 20 years of working in the pharmaceutical industry such as companies such as GlaxoSmithKline, Novartis, Janssen, MSD, and Pharmacia, Mauricio was also an accomplished amateur boxer. It’s to this background that he attributes his readiness to fight for his ideals. He realizes that the Castilian “Spanish” is different in each and every Latin American country, and knowing that is important in developing differentiated materials.
